About the Author

I’ve worn many hats throughout my life: worked in publishing as editor for a small monthly magazine; worked as a museum specialist and archivist at the Smithsonian for many years; am a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and Academy of Certified Archivists; and am in “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who of American Women.” (Now about this “Who’s Who” thing, just about anyone can get into that publication, so it’s not that big a deal.) My love is historical research and writing. Have had articles published, but one of my main goals in life is to publish a book. I’ve started several but found out that writing a book, one that depends on serious, scholarly research, takes a lot of time which I never seem to have. But I’ll get there. I did write a 288-page thesis for my MA degree in anthropology.
